Jim, The makers of Mobos are aware of the assorted peccadillos of chipsets and vice versa and they both work to tighten the production tolerances to keep the cchip sets happy. flaws will show as they push the clock and bus speeds. They will the analyze the flaws and the next iteration of the chipset/mobo will work better. mobo cycles are far faster than chip set cycles so they can get themn ready in a few weeks and when proven volume is 8 weeks away.
With chip sets, after they are proven, volume can be 4 months away or more
