Why do you think the HP earnings are great? because they beat the estimates? They are .02 ahead of last year, gross margins were down and they are going through cash like it is going out of style (down almost $2 billion from the prior year).

Dell on the other hand has an ROIC of 292%, cash 75% ahead of last year, cash eps of 143% of eps, and people are yawning. And this was in the face of an investment in sales resources to prepare for their internet strategy, which shaved .03 / share of their eps.
