The views of SOME on this board have been that CNBC is THE cause of all their financial woes

Nobody on this board has even hinted at this, and you know it.

some on this board also accused CNBC of too much negative reporting and taking pleasure in the downside of the mkts

Those people are wrong. Just because half of the people believe one thing and half believe the other does not mean the middle is true. CNBC is flagrantly bullish in its reporting, some commentators more than others. Whenever the market is up, they smile, and when it is down, they put on their funeral parlor faces. This is fine, since their audience is 99% brainwashed bulls. The problem is when they claim to be unbiased. Also, one should recognize that CNBC is trying to make a buck here at the expense of educating the public.

Again, I am finding it hard to believe that Bill F. dumped THE financial info network based on his deep beliefs of something many of us are not aware of

I can't speak for him, but this is what he has said. I do know he has deep convictions that the the public is getting led to slaughter, and he has tried to educate them.
