Wolff deleted the post but I copy and pasted it in one of mine.

The question for me is NOT one of whether the receipt was a forged receipt that you made up. The question is whether it is a false receipt because you didn't donate the money.

I suspect that this won't be the end of this story if you did not donate that money.

5K-1 downward departures are very rarely granted

and the mandatory minimum is determined by guidelines in the statute. Within the guideline the Judge has some latitude based on the PSI.

The Probation Office prepares a Document (PSI) which gives an objective view of ALL FACTS (usually VERY SLANTED).

Anthony received the MINIMUM allowed by law.

Had there been no madatory minimum what might the judge have given him? WHAT THE JUDGE BELIEVED TO BE JUST.

Im guessing less.
