Somebody told me that if AMD decide to do their CC a week later than expected, they NECESSERILY have to include one more week in their results.
I would like it to be clear to me... an extra week selling Thunderbird/Durons would make a huge difference in earning surprise.

Let's say $350 ASP for TBIRD :
at 600WPW and around 135 mm2 die size(60% yield) : (600*30000/135)*0.6= 80K TBIRD per Week
lets say $105 production given the Dresden devaluation we have : 80 000*245=$19.6 millions extra revenues or $0.11 per diluted share (170 mil)

Say $110 ASP for Durons :
I guess at least 50K/w and $50 production cost : 50k*60= 3 millions or $0.02

for a total of an extra $0.13 per sh only for TBIRD/DURONS

add to that 15.75 millions (189 mil/12 week) from the rest of the buisness you obtain a grand total of an $0.23 extra EPS

EDIT : I just read John Petzinger's post and revise my calculation to (189/ 14 weeks) ----> 0.21 EPS
pretty cool :)
