Tom, I want to thank you again for your encouragement on covered calls. On my mom's 250 k, I have made net 42 k on covered calls over the past 45 days. Not called out on any as have rolled up. More stress but at this point is more fun than watching the stocks themselves. Using BRCM, CREE, GBLX, BMST, JDSU, NTAPM QCOM, and SEBL as the VEHICLES. She is actually thinking of spending some money to take some vacations while she can still get around well at 70 years of age. As to my wife, I have made over 11 k on approx. 100 k of stocks in past 45 days. Using same stocks with addition of ELON. Have rolled up and out on ELON. Deb is now cutting back on work so that she can help on all the housework and be with the kids this summer. Dream come true for her (and me). She is a wonderful woman and I am so grateful for her. I am lucky. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!! As for me. Still a midwesterner working full-time. Still thinking of how to get my 401k and profit-sharing plan money away from the ABA/State Street where they think writing covered calls is too big of a risk. If they only understood options in even the most basic sense of things. What a joke. Anyway, thinking I could quit and rehire on. Problem is could loose vesting time of one year for 401 k and 2 years for the psp. I am our plan's program administrator although our smart office manager handle's all the details. So still thinking on this aspect of things. If any of you have thoughts on this, please post or p.m. me. Really enjoying learning about options. Rolling up or down on covered calls is not as difficult as I thought it could be. Read sections on covered calls from 12 different option books I have acquired. The experience of doing it is much more valuable than the head knowledge obtained. In my own taxable account have bought various calls on NTAP over the past few weeks for 35% and 40% net profit. Could have made much more but trying to "profit often" as RANDE IS on SI says. Interesting to see the greed on the opposite side of the covered call transaction. Greetings to all you regulars on the porch! Bob
