Your logic is flawed. Under your simplification, you're neglecting Anthony's lost revenue for 1/3 of a year due to his incarceration, which is a sure thing and 'gone forever'.

Not to mention the fine, and the quarters he's going to need for the payphone.

There is a bigger point here, however. Most of us have money, and are short of time. I'm sure a@p would gladly go long on G* to avoid 4 months in the clink.
