Jacob.... >>your ideas........ make such an easy target. You said, "you didn't say anything about values relative to right vs. wrong." Every human on the planet wants to Do Right. We just have a lot of different ways of defining it. Stalin sincerely thought he was Doing Right, and had a vast intellectual framework to back him up.>> When you line of power/control/politics and money against "truth" you will always be an easy target. Stalin was a destroyer of truth - his regime fed off the energy of those he oppressed. Do unto others..... TRUTH is very simple. That's why it's always rejected. >>You are joyous over the way corporations are trying very hard to listen to employees, and create a supportive corporate community, and not make the workers feel alienated (to use a Marxist phrase).>> Give it up Jacob. The net supports ONE thing: the sovereign INDIVIDUAL. Anything that creates friction (ie. , creating limitions, restrictions, conditions, etc.) is exposed and arbitraged for the ENERGY and TRUST it "takes"...rather than "gives." >>This is entirely a function of the 3.9% unemployment rate. Employers have had to reach deep into the labor pool, to hire and train groups that had been classified as "unemployable". Among educated, self-disciplined workers (the only kind Microsoft hires), the unemployment rate is effectively zero. In the next recession, when the unemployment rate goes to 8%, all this will (unfortunately) disappear. Maybe not at Microsoft, or other tech titans, because the people they hire are always in short supply. It's supply/demand in the labor pool, not a New Age.>> Employers??? Employee??? Let's be real. Other the underlying "mindset" of fear/power/control which still drives the Old Model, what gives Microsoft the right to place itself in a more powerful position than any INDIVIDUAL? What's the difference between companies and communities? Companies are nothing more than "communities" that have placed limitations, boundaries and restricitve conditional covenants/contracts and money to monitize TRUST that's created between and among INDIVIDUALS. This is the Old Business/Political model. It's a dam building model. The water behind the dam is the time, trust, energy, ideas, creativity of INDIVIDUALS who have agreed to limit/restrict/conditionalize their position relative to the brand and company. Like a lasar, the Internet Spirit is drilling holes and channels inside and around these Old dams. People are discovering their IS really a River of Light/TIME/TRUST and REAL values and truth which can actually flows freely in ways which "grow pies" along many New Frontiers - ie. knowledge/education, wisdom, mastery, health, etc. There is nothing more powerful than this Internet Spirit for it's the expression of FREEDOM, LIGHT, TRUTH and LOVE. And, yes, it's the antithesis of the world. The "world" doesn't want INDIVIDUALS to "see" and understand this spirit for what it is. That's why there's all this talk about hackers, viruses, hate, loss, privacy, fear, etc. The real question remains: Do you think INDIVIDUALS will "get" it? If not, then do you simply - cynically - resign and resort your life to the same ole, same ole lifeless, faithless, flat energy. Where's your way out? Why are you here? What's your purpose in this world? I firmly believe we all have a special purpose and message which we must share, communicate and serve to others. Every day that goes by that we are not doing this is just another distraction or time spent NOT realizing the happiness you're entitled to feel and share with others. It's nothing more than the difference between "giving up" your energy as you maintain the dam mindset which distrusts vs. claiming your energy as you break through the dam mindset which trusts, shares, helps, serves....loves. River vs. The Dam. New vs. Old. Freedom vs. Political/Power/Control REAL Currency (belief/faith/trust) vs. Old Currency (money/valueless, anonymous trust) That's it: KISS For "It's The Internet and we don't have to be stupid anymore." Peace. GO!!
