You know, the Gestapo was so absolutely hellish and evil and murderous that they should be invoked only rarely. There are degrees of everything, and not overreacting is important both as an obligation to history, and to maintaining credibility.

I understand your point completely, and would never dream of calling mayor Rudolph Guiliani "Hitler". (Although that guy who does the radio show on WABC-AM with Curtis Sliwa, Ron Koobie or however you spell his name, does call Guiliani "Ghouliani", which is totally off base.)
But as far as the methods and tactics used by the INS raiding that little house in Miami, I'm sorry, but they were still using "Gestapo tactics" to me, and I do not take using that term lightly..... Yogi
