Hi Olga, I think I will go for a P III 600 (coppermine, if possibile), FC-PGA version with Slotket adapter. This sounds like a plan. Later with a dual MoBo, get another and have dually 600e's. There are lots of Dual MoBo out now. For now if you need Ram get a 128MB of quality PC133 cas2 to take along with the upgrade. This in backwards compatible with PC100. Install in your board now. The PIII 600e will enjoy!!. May be best for now to stay with BX, Single, PC133 until dust settles. I see Intel recalling over 1 million MoBo's with the i820 chip set. The BX boards just keeps on ticking.

All CPU's are not created equal. Look at the different speeds of the 533a below. From 800 to 948MHZ. All depends on Quality Memory, Cooling and lots of tweaking. Also the Chips are made in different plants and work differently. Pretty sure the PIII 600 FC-PGA will have an e (PIII 600e)Get the e.

The Abit BP6, Dual, BX, uses Socket chips, no need for SlotKet adapters. There are other Duals. Be careful of the Intel i815, i820, i830, i840 chipsets on MoBo's for now.
