agree with both posts. my point was that the ins. cos. are not even attempting to construct a system to transactions between doctor / patient / insurance etc. if my understanding of those comments is correct (and he wasn't lying thru his teeth), they are simply developing web markets for supplies, materials etc. seems like they could do this if they can overcome antitrust with proper brokerage but the real money has got to be in what HLTH is targeting - the inefficient, bureaucratic retail transactions.
