Good! Some uncertainty is evaporating. At first blush Eckert appears to be a good choice.

I'm still confused as to who was around to make the decision last month to jettison Mattel Interactive. And why MAKE that decision before the new CEO comes aboard?
IMO, it would be compounding errors to get out of the software biz altogether, although I'm not sure if that is the plan. If that IS the plan, I will jettison my MAT stock as it will indicate to me that Mattel's vision has wasted away also. Mattel Interactive had a profitable software biz before the TLC fiasco. That's probably why management took the plunge without checking the water's depth (or remembering if they knew how to swim in the first place).
