Chic - RE: "I saw on CNBC this morning that Mark Edelstone has been meeting with INTC management over the past few days.

Guess what?

INTC will have very tight inventories in 2H of this year. IE, they can't meet demand, again.

Is anyone surprised?"

Deep thoughts, by Michael Dell -

Oh my! I feel betrayed! First Intel tells me end of January, THEN they say end of Q1, and THEN I have my hopes set up for by the end of Q2. And what does Intel tell me? Throughout the second half??? Intel, you have let me down, again...

What's AMD's phone number?

jajajaja

Actually, I'm surprised Intel is saying this. Just less than a month ago they said things will be fine by end of this Q. Maybe they said to placate the analysts. Too bad this news is coming out on the same day as their shareholder's meeting!

chic hearne:

AMD looked to be holding up so well this AM, and on the heels of CNBC analyst recommendation earlier in the morning, I couldn't resist the temptation of buying 50 May 85's at $3-7/8 based on my assumption that AMD'll definitely test $90 before expiry if not the all-time high of $92-7/8's, well within current trading range of $85 -$105...(Not looking too strong now though ($87-1/16), I see...turnaround at 10:30?)

I'm shocked. We're know that AMD is building inventory and people here insist they are selling all they can make, yet Intel is sold out and inventory stays tight.... Why do you suppose that is? Maybe Intel should take a lesson from AMD and hold back product so they can "build inventory" <G>
