The low so far is 10 5/8, not 10. Now 10 7/8 x 10 15/16.

Geoff...

I am curious as to whether you are long...short...or neutral with a bent toward sarcasim regarding Globalstar.
You must understand the potential with the Qualcomm/Globalstar alliance. It's easy to take pot shots now, but later in the year could very well be a different story indeed.
Through my own research I've come to the understanding that TRAINS could very well prove to be an extremely lucrative market. I recently rode on an Amtrak train here on the West coast. The crew uses a Qualcomm cell phone to contact stations further on down the line. It was amazing for me to learn about the numerous and significant DEAD ZONES the train encounters on it's journey thanks to poor cell coverage. These DEAD ZONES pose obvious problems.

As well, it would be more efficient if the crew could forward a maintanance log to the station that the train would be stopping over at. That way the maintanance team can review and prepare to fix what needs to be fixed before the train actually arrives decreasing costly downtime and increasing efficency.

On another interesting note...the public phone on board (railphone) had a charge of 1.99 US per minute (domestic).

The addition of a GLOBALSTAR phone in this instance would do the following.

A) Allow for complete connectivity from train to designated station of arrival with exception to tunnels.
B) Allow for maintanence logs to be sent through Qualcomm's packet data modem.
C) Allow passangers to place cheaper calls. Current RAILPHONE charge is 1.99 Domestic while Globalstar is currently 1.50 per minute in the entire US and Canada.
D) Let's not forget about possible internet connectivity for passengers as well.

As you can see, this is just one isolated example of how a Globalstar phone can make life easier and on all counts. And in a vertical segment I might add.

Short selling, negative doom sayers and fallout from IRIDIUM have most if not all spooked right now....except for Mr. Schwartz who keeps loading up on the stock.

At this juncture I feel it would be prudent to embrace the reality that GLOBALSTAR could be the beginning of the next level in telecommunications and a potentially rewarding one for LORAL/GLOBALSTAR shareholders who have the fortitude and conviction to hang in there.

One other brief comment. In all the conference calls I've listened to along with interviews with CEOs, I have yet to encounter an individual that is more direct and straightforward that Mr. Schwartz. This is my opinion of course, and I'm already feeling GRKA's flame. But really...how many CEOs can you cite saying "There are no bars or gates on the doors. If you don't like what's going on with the stock you can leave at any time." Sounds like honest words to me.

Any way you slice it, this is an exciting stock and an exciting company. Only time holds the answer. Tick tock tic tock.

Best wishes fellow siliconites....
