Chic <So I guess the million dollar question is, when do you pull the trigger and get back in and what do you buy?>

Friend, you're going to get much too old, much too fast. Just do this:

When do you pull the trigger? Now.
What do you buy? AMD shares.
What do you do then? Enjoy some summer baseball.

Honestly, I read somebody with a good philosophy on the M Fool board. He had a quote "I can't afford to ever NOT be in AMD". He traded options regularly, but said whenever he was spooked, he plopped all of his money into AMD shares. He did well that way!

Dave

chic hearne:

So far today, the wheat is not being differentiated from the chaff! It's all negative...Guess I'll go to lunch and hopefully upon return around 2:00 find a stronger AMD testing its morning high of $89-3/16's as opposed to its morning low of $85-3/4! Haven't seen 2 milllion shares traded by noon in a little while...Just need the market in general to perk up a bit (currently DJI -160 and Nasdaq -87)...

Chic,

I like Dave's suggestion. But, this is what I'm going to do with my trading cash. I placed limit orders to buy May 85s at $2 1/4 and May 80s at $4 3/4. Chances of getting them at these prices are slim, unless the general market tanks by another 100 points (now, DJIA is down about 150 points). I suspect this would be the last month you may be able to get options upto strike prices $120, at decent prices (they are pricey but are still O.K given that AMD is still very undervalued). If I can't get my above orders filled, I'll be for sure getting into some June call options ($100 or $110) before this Friday's close. As you mentioned in one of earlier posts, I believe we would see more and more fund-managers will have nothing but positive things to say about AMD in the coming weeks, because they are almost done loading up with AMD shares.
