Yesterday, I saw a series of posts on this thread where William and Kis were disagreeing over
the invesment acumen of one Saudi Prince. It almost appeared as though the two were
provoking each other. Then the sparring came to a sudden end with Kis being banned - no
warning, no explanation given. To me this unfair.

Eric,

I am very late to this discussion due to prior work demands but now have had a chance to look over what occurred here yesterday.

I know your intent is to have this be a fair place to express opinions and I am in agreement with fairness. I want you to know I was asked if I would be willing to be one of the judges and I said yes. I was not involved in yesterday's decision but I was not available to be involved.

There are hundreds of threads on SI that are not moderated so clearly moving to another is easy. I can't say that removing KIS denies KIS the ability to post on SI.

I will add I believe Williams intent for this thread is to have valuable discussions about various securities without having to endure personal attacks. In going back and reading the series of posts between William and KIS I did see a large difference in how the positions were presented.

KIS, and this is typical for KIS, posted almost an entirely personal attack on William prior to his removal. See the following:

I doubt you will find any post of William's to KIS as being a personal attack but rather a rebuttal of the differing opinions. It is clear to me and likely to most on this thread that William and many others are tired of personal attacks. A point easily may be made without making it personal. KIS has a habit of making his posts personal attacks and I would guess and agree that was the reason for his removal.

KIS is still free to post on almost every thread on SI. Apparently, he may go elsewhere and personally attack others. KIS has personally attacked me many times. I can and do go to other threads if I want his personal attacks but as a rule, try to avoid him.

My point is this was not a differing of opinion but rather the cause for the removal of KIS was he was personally attacking William and likely he would have been removed if he was personally attacking you or I.

Do you understand my point here?

Thank you for your input.

Glenn
