To get any quality of thought really requires a managed thread, MSI - thanks for your post. I have nothing against a managed thread - provided the policies for such management are fair and open. I don't believe that is the case here - as evidenced by Kis's sudden ouster yesterday. Of course any thread owner can employ any guidelines they choose for determining who can and who cannot participate. The guidelines and policies employed here are, well, I don't know what they are - and I suppose they have a great deal to do with William's views. Ironically, I would have more respect for William if he openly stated that those who don't agree with him, or those that annoy him will be banned - this would be honest at least. I strongly believe that discussion of any topic is greatly enhanced through the contribution of those that hold different points of view. There are many who post regularly on SI who have strong knowledge of economics, finance and technology - and who don't believe that today's market action is governed by a "new paradigm". Do you consider their opinions "noise"? What exactly is "noise" anyway? What it really comes down to is this: I'm deciding, personally, whether to continue to participate on this thread. No one invited me here - I'm here at the moment because William and I have had many discussions in the past on the AMZN thread. In making my decision on whether to stay, I want to know what rules and policies are employed to determine who can be banned on this thread and under what circumstances. Currently, in my view, such rules and policies are extremely unclear. As such, I am inclined to question the owner of the thread (William) in an effort to make them clear. Such questioning has, so far, not led to any clarity. I've offered suggestions to William and others on how such clarity might be enhanced - but so far, to no avail. I really think the credibility of the thread could be enhanced through implementation of rules and policies that exhibit a higher level of fairness and greater adherence to democratic judicial principles. I will state these opinions on this thread for only so much longer (probably no longer than the end of the day, today) - and if nothing changes, well, then I guess I will leave you all to agree with each other. Thanks, -Eric
