AT&T Wireless sets new pricing plans for services

NEW YORK, May 17 (Reuters) - AT&T Wireless Group (NYSE:AWE - news) on
Wednesday said it set new pricing plans for customers who want services such as electronic
mail and Internet access in addition to voice for their wireless phones.

The company said in a statement customers who buy one of two new wireless phones, the Ericsson R280LX or the Mitsubishi
MobileAccess T250, can purchase the new plans, called AT&T Digital PocketNet.

The basic plan, which is free for customers with a voice contract, allows a user to access more than 40 Internet sites designed
specifically for use on a wireless phone. For an additional $6.99 per month, customers can also use electronic mail and faxing
services from their phone,

The premium plan, which costs $14.99 per month, allows customer to access the text portion of any Web site, use an online
calendar and to-do list in addition to the services offered under the other plans.

All the plans provide customers with a personal Web site.

Shares of AT&T Wireless Group, which went public in April, were up 1/16 at 28-7/8 on the New York Stock Exchange.
