The Bahamas don't actually require a passport for entry either. A certified copy of your birth certificate and photo ID (drivers license or state ID) will do the trick. Neither do the Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico require passports. Depending on your location, I love the Bahama out islands also Puerto Vallarta (the Mexican riviera, they do require passport as far as I know). If you dive, you'll love the Caymans also, but need a passport there.
