re buying one share vs DRIP plan
I did hate the DRIP plan paperwork. But it also saved nicely on commissions: I don't think you can get $8 comm. if you only trade a share at a time, can you? (I've not tried that for years and years: bought one share of IBM once in my baby-investor years but I was not an "active trader" with Fidelity and they charged a lot for my one share.)
I agree that if the person buying one share at a time only pays $8 or $10 in commission cost at a time, it isn't a significant cost.
Hats off to people beginning their investment life this, or any other way!

And when the Hell is Qcom going to go back up to a decent price and stay there? (Decent IMO $160 or above: right now it's indecent!.)
