smchan, Glad I "turned you on" to contratrend gap plays. It is a great daytrading tool. As I've said, I'm not a daytrader. But I have, if I can say it without seeming to boast, a pretty decent daytrading record. Much better than my standard-BTTT longer-term calls. And that play is one of my favorites. But I'm becoming convinced, looking over the last 7 weeks of trying out this 5/8 MA crossover method with RT trades, that daytrading the crossovers as they appear on hourly charts (I don't even look at anything shorter...just don't have the time) generates a very high percentage of 3%+ winners. If I had enough to buy 1000 shares, I'd put in a 3% limit exit at every signal, and close at EOD if it wasn't reached. TC.
