LOL That's funny. I know in my own industry (media advertising), there have been INCREDIBLE productivity gains over the last 15 years, and they are accelerating now. Being a service industry, however, these gains are not easily measured, and are probably not counted at all. In addition, it's astounding to me that the time it takes to build a car, or make a tire, has been reduced substantially over the last few years due to automation and software - and someone says that productivity gains are a myth. I agree that computer hardware productivity has increased to a much larger degree than the rest of the economy, but I find it hard to believe that the benefits of what this industry has wrought are so undervalued by some people. I'll take an informal poll: who's more productive today than they were 5/10/15 years ago? Simple assist to your answer - has the cell phone/email/instant messaging increased your productivity? (that should tie in the discussion directly to CNXT)
