the file that the article mentions is a 0.5MB setup file that then retrieves and installs the other 70-odd MB when you execute it (that's why you need to be connected to the internet). i was wondering if there is a way around using this setup file; maybe a direct link to the microsoft ftp site or another site that offers the whole thing in one huge honking download.

i could order the CD from microsoft but my friends can't wait the 8-10 weeks. i guess i'll have to see if i can purchase it in a store. (i can't recall ever seeing it in a store but i never really looked for it)
