Sarmad: <If the stocks owned by the prince become worthless, then his billion evaporates and does not have to be financed> They gave us Toyota's, BMWs and oil and we give them hype and worthless paper -- to be sure it has been a great party. Unfortunately, you may have it backwards -- they will sell the stock market and keep the bonds. We will be the ones with the worthless paper cause so many of us believed in the new economy while downplaying the need to "save" -- and enough still do for more harm to come. We will owe them for a long, long time to come. That was the whole debate we had over "what is savings". Foreigners save -- we didn't need to cause we were all going to be "rich like William".
