Marshall,

<< but having a hard time getting clean signals with Qcharts.>>

I use Qcharts as well and find the crossovers are easier to see when using 15 minute charts with 20 and 32 period moving averages. The results are almost identical to the 1hr - 5/8 setup.

Good luck...

-Michael

Marshall, You may have noticed I'm interested in writing software to backtest, detect MA crossovers, etc. Any chance we could collaborate on our efforts? Do you have docs from Qcharts yet on their protocol?

Sam

Marshall, you mentioned having trouble seeing crossovers clearly on IQC. Have you used the zoom in feature? I find this helps.

Maybe because I'm on a Mac most of the time (at work) it simply runs better <ggg>!
