LONWORKS Systems

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 17, 2000--The LONMARK© Interoperability Association today
announced that AT&T (NYSE:T - news) joined the Association as a Sponsor member.

The Association's 250+ members work together to promote the widespread use of open, interoperable networks of everyday
devices using Echelon's (Nasdaq:ELON - news) LONWORKS© platform in homes, buildings, factories, and transportation
systems worldwide. As a Sponsor member, AT&T will sit on the LONMARK Board of Directors and will play a key
