As I'm sure you know, what AMD said at that time was a snapshot of what the inventory situation was THAT day, not of what it was that quarter or of what it will be this quarter. We don't know how the inventory looks today and there is no way we can find out. Since you have been in Israel I don't know if you have read the online articles, but apparently Intel is still having trouble completely filling the channel so people are switching to the AMD platform. As a result, Athlons supplies have RECENTLY been getting tighter. When Q2 earnings come around we will get another chance to see AMD's balance sheet and again assess the inventory situation for THAT day at the end of the Q. I think we will still a normal amount, if not more than normal amount, as a result of stockpiling socket processors since the platform will still be immature. "After all these years....Dresden... Still MIA" I'm not surprised you're saying that. I guess you have to fixate on something. June is just around the corner. ;)
