MikeM,

I can't offer anything specific for you to hang your hat on, but I've been thinking all along that the increased use of VPNs will provide an increasing market opportunity for ICA.

MikeM:

My comments were more specific to adding a web layer
to the processing cycle.

Most webservers are very slow when it comes to serving
dynamically constructed pages. A lot of sites run cgi code
written in perl or something like that that are super-slow.
And, dynamic pages is what you need to tailor an interaction
with each individual user.

I don't know the theoretical limits to the number of
simultaneous connections an ICA host. I *think* that when
people talk of serving 1000s of webusers, they are usually
thinking in terms of a different class of machines.

This is not to say that one can't design a web app to be
efficient. But it is not a slam dunk.

Re VPN. I see that MikeB has already answered it.
