Carl B, I suggest you hire Bill Jackson to write a RAMBUS poem, perhaps one based on the song, "Yesterday."
<ggg>

EDIT - sorry, I should have given you a link. You can find his Intel song on epscontest.com

Carl, Now, now, Carl, pity poor Intel all alone on the deep blue sea, or are the way up crap creek and have no paddles, no problem, into the crap and swim for it.

I am sure on narrow technical grounds backed up by lab style setups that Rambus does work. We are a long way from day to day useable technology when less than 5% of product made is the top grade goods. From what I hear even the 600 Mhz stuff has very low yields. It is a quantifiable and thus fixable problem or is it down in the statistical noise and cannot ever be fixed? Time will tell. It seems that they are very slowly solving these problems....too slowly and other memory methods are outflanking them.
They may end up throwing Rambus on the trashpile of history.
