jkc, Only someone unfamiliar with this city and region would make a statement that NM and Albuquerque region are devoid of high-tech. The presence of two national labs, the AF research lab, and an excellent university created a powerful high-tech environment that has attracted a number of large companies and spawned a broad range of smaller high-tech spinoffs. The critical mass has been reached...the boom is happening. The primary limitations to future growth are water resources, power, and telecom services. All are being addressed, although at a slower pace than many desire. This is, after all, New Mexico. JBK
