Ian, you may be right but I would not be surprised if it all results in a full court press by Intel. Look, it works. Look, you can make money doing it. We will assure pricing, etc.

I suspect you are wrong on this one.

Clearly, Micron has been dragging its feet. Intel is not going to risk failure of its Willamette product launch because of insufficient supplies of RDRAM. A lot of the box makers are not yet in the RDRAM platforms because they are at the end of the line when it comes to getting RDRAM supplies. GTW still does not have a RDRAM product and that must surely be hurting them vis a vis DELL and HWP. DELL is converted to 100% RDRAM for workstations and 50% RDRAM fro desktop models.

INTEL has to project its RDRAM requirements at least 3 months in advance and this is an industry wide issue.
It makes a lot of sense to bring them all to one place to discuss the matter.
