The difference is that Japan, S.Korea, and other such fast developing/developed Asian countries are truly ONE SINGLE NATIONS with people in unity...... This is Asia problem their division there is not unity .

Yes, they have only been independent for 50 years. A major task for a virgin government to try and bring order to a 400 million (in 1948) diversified nation: 16 official distinct Languages with completely differing scripts, 800+ dialects, all major religions plus numerous sects, creeds, sub-sects, tribes, fair blue-eyed people in the North, dark skinned in the South......!!! The British, wisely, gave up the "Jewel in the Crown" because they could foresee the troubles that lay ahead and Britain would become "bankrupt" trying to nurse and maintain this "mammoth jewel in sparkling condition.
