LOL! let's not joke about the poor man's fate...anyway, i think it was most probably suicide. he probably screwed up and was in danger of losing face as well as other things (e.g. an appendage, like his head). so he decided to take the plunge...probably no sword was handy at the time. the Yuan is fixed vs. the dollar...however, i hear the black market rate has been deteriorating. in all likelihood an official devaluation will be effected sometime this year.
