Ted <What are the official rules for the "vacation effect"? I'm leaving now, AMD at 85 1/2, back on Sunday.

Do we use Friday's NYSE close, Friday's afterhours close, or Monday's open?

chic,

Frankly I don't think that is long enough to be considered an effect....I believe the rules for the vacation effect are as follows: gone two full days in which there is no communication with the thread, the two full days must fall during the week when the markets are open and the eligible applicant must leave after the cob on the day before the two days in question, and return after of the second day or in other words no sooner than the beginning of the third day.

Is that clear enough? <g>

Ted - don't look now, but AMD is up $2 to $87. If NAZ turns positive, AMD could have a banner day. Then a market indicator, along with Unemployment, Retail, Housing, etc - may be the vacation schedule of AMD longs on SI.

You are pulling an Elmer here - making up rules to suit your agenda ;^)
