Duke, If you have Outlook you can test it for yourself. 1. create a text file and name it "thisisatest.txt.vbs" note: the extension "vbs" means that it is a "visual basic script". In this case its simply a text file. 2. now send an email containing the attachment to yourself When you receive the email, you should observe that the name of the file attachment in Outlook is rendered as "thisisatest.txt..." Note that the real extension "vbs" is hidden from you. All you see is the ".txt..." extension which most people, and in fact anyone, would interpret to be a text file. This was the real magic of the virus. It contained an attachment named "ILOVEYOU.txt.vbs"
