> I think that we should
do our best to preserve nature and not destroy the environment, but "the nature freaks"
have definitely gone overboard in the past five to ten years.
"Do unto others as you would have them do to you" certainly applies in this case, and
the fact that they are so "cheerfully" willing to hand Elian back to a dictatorship, and do
not seem to mind too much the "gestapo style tactics" of our own government, is truly
frightening and should be of concern to all.<

Is Greenpeace involved in handing back Elian? Wow, that's fascinating. I had no idea the nature "freaks" were so well connected. Were there nature "freaks" on the raid dressed up as INS agents? Was it a nature "freak" attacking the plastic chair (because that would make some sense- plastic is not eco- friendly).

Yogi- you are confusing two separate issues, trying to blend them and assign them in some mutually dependent way with no regard for what people are actually saying. That is simplistic and inaccurate.

The tactics of Reno et al don't have anything to do with the philosophy and reasoning that governs the Return Elian to Father crowd. I think a lot of people who believe that Elian should be with his family, and that his father should act as guardian, are deeply troubled by Janet Reno and Clinton and the way in which this was handled. But they are able to view these as distinct issues that need to be addressed in different venues.
Edit: Personally, I don't have the same reaction as you to the gun picture, though.
