Wasn't that a $750 million US investment in Nexabit?

This is too small for McGinn to be involved in? You have to be ONCE AGAIN kidding me? What could he be doing that ties him up so that he cannot even get involved in a billion dollar decision?

But you are right, now that I think of it. McGinn probably didn't make that decision. And isn't that EXACTLY the problem with LU? You have a HISTORY MAJOR running a high-tech company.

McGinn is an organization man. He is not a visionary and does not appear to understand what he wants to do with LU from a strategic positioning point of view vis-a-vis future of networking and how technology will play out it's role.

He shuffles divisions, buys companies without understanding what he is buying, gets into JV with hustlers, and spins off companies if it doesn't perform.

Maybe he should be working for Kolberg Kravis & Co. as a corporate raider...........that appears to be his modus operandi -- NOT building a technology gorilla.

Given the advantage that he started out with, the resource, the customer base, etc.etc., I am totally amazed that people with intelligence do not see how badly he has performed in the past few years.

McGinn will be forced out -- that I am sure of.........sooner or later.
