Points well-taken, though I assure you I did not act unilaterally in Kis's case. Glenn can tell you (since you seem to trust him more, which is great) that there is a IM circle here too, and it didn't take too long to get the consensus that KIS was out once I proposed it.

I don't understand the criticism of editing posts. The edit feature is there for that purpose. I have never tried to set someone up if that's where you're going with that thought. If you look at Kis's complaint about that edit, you will see that the three points compliment and expand on the first.

Cementhead is a total term of endearment...My favorite teacher used it extensively with us as I explained once a couple years ago when I was riding Glenn for not taking his loss shorting Amazon.

Jerry,

I may be misinterpreting your reference to Mark and Tern, but I want to clarify that part of your post. Mark and I were aware that there had been action taken by Tern bears to break into the Tern conference call and disrupt it. This wasn't a "conspiracy theory" that Mark brought up and I "found to have merit." It was a fact.

Of course, maybe it is hard to look dispassionately when discussing
KIS considering his history.

Jerry,

My brief reply is the above is true. I suppose the issue may be debated forever but I cannot make the time to do so.

I have not read this thread since yesterday nor the Amazon thread. I also need to write an email for my business.

Your point is well taken but I must focus on the jobs at hand and KIS has always caused a loss of focus. The decision to ban KIS was not mine this time meaning I was not asked but I can't say the decision was incorrect.

My real belief was KIS was a distraction and continued to be a distraction which is what this thread is suppose to help eliminate.

There are a lot of different personalities here and on thread of many was designed to specifically be focused. I really desire to use this thread in a focused way. I get quick and straight answers here and time is all that will determine if those beliefs (answers) are correct.

My intention is not to defend every action that occurs but I was and still am in agreement that a thread is necessary that is focused on the business of the market. If that happens to remove some "free speech" on this thread only in some minds, that still leaves other threads on which to post opinions.

If I can make time this weekend, I will explain further why I agree with the decision about KIS here but will do so on another thread.

Glenn
