Terry, in the inaugural issue of Power Report the one company mentioned was American Superconductor, AMSC. Since I did not subscribe, there may be more by now.

Power Chips
High power chips can be made from Silicon Carbide. This would indicate a company like CREE.

Terry,

He is referring to "chips" or devices that help manage the delivery of clean (free of surges etc.) electricity. His belief is that the demand for high quality, highly dependable electricity to run web sites, server farms, etc. will put these companies in the center of a complex delivery system.
