Are you sure about that? Here is the original Williams release. I would think they would not call it an unannounced customer even if it is for another product...

(I know, you are actually referring to the Williams deal with Sycamore and not the initial deal with Ciena..)

Pure Speculation

Qwest was a big customer of Nortel. Qwest is now a big customer of Ciena. Second source, or better execution?

Williams was a very big funny money customer of Sycamore, and a major Sycamore shareholder. Williams may now be a cash customer of Ciena. Second source, or better execution?

(Note also that Williams market cap is less than that of Sycamore Networks, a startup company.)
