I am of this opinion, if you have money then you should buy best medicine. But I hate to support medicare frauds. We are keeping people alive by using intensive care units, it should be stopped. We should provide minimum guranteed health care to all. But since we are a nation of lawyers, we do not do that.

I personally think hlth, will provide lots of relief to doctors with paper work.

<< Europe spends much less on medical care and rations it to some degree, but they are healthier then we are. Why is that?>>
why? because almost 70% of England's GDP goes to social services.... yet another practice that we, as hardworking Americans (including doctors), won't tolerate. just as you can find fault in our tax system and political system, you can find fault in our medical system. truth is, however, it remains the best in the world. while i'm one who believes nearly everything is overregulated by the government, healthcare remains one area that needs regulation....

<<But he is correct when he asserts that only the hard work and sacrifice of physicians is keeping the whole thing afloat>>
that's not too egotistical, is it? and, as for turning away the medicare patients.... shame on those doctors. believe it or not, there are medicare and medicaid patients who don't have the means to pay for healthcare.... that being said, i do think the medicaid and medicare systems need an overhaul.

"Politicians have overpromised and over regulated medicine. They think that "the finest medical system in the world" should be available to everybody, but nobody should have to pay for it."

exactly, well almost. i'd change that to:

They think that "the finest medical system in the world" should be available to everybody, but SOMEBODY ELSE should have to pay for it."

part of that somebody else is the mds. i believe mds should be paid considerably more. they shouldn't have to deal with all the non-md "stuff," that's not being efficient or why they went to med-school. but they should also be more responsive to their patients and cut the god-like attitude out.

who should pay...we could debate the politics and morality of this for days. the smartest approach and the one the requires the least bargaining between special interest, is the one that the politicians can support, cutting the waste. which is why hlth is going to work.

attached is a white paper on the hlth platform from one of hlth's strategic partners:
