Ted,

I was thrilled to see that Los Alamos is in the front page news again. When the town isn't burning, it is being infiltrated by spies stealing nuclear secrets.

msnbc.com

It always seemed like such a peaceful place. This satellite picture shows that all of the visible forest land around Los Alamos has burned. An area as large as Silicon Valley burned up.

BTW: OT police need not read this message.

OT, bank stocks. The utilities are near an all time high. They bottomed almost six months ago and basically are predicting that the rise in interest rates is very near an end.

IMO, we will soon see news of a slowing economy, mostly because most people are losing wealth in the stock market. (Most people don't own AMD ;^))

Bank stocks are great for call options, because their low volatility means low premiums. Plus, on days when the NAZ tanks over 100 points, they are usually up.

There are plenty of fine banks with PE's below 10 and good growth records. Do your own due diligence for a bank in your area which is growing customers and financially. I picked WM -- certainly an interesting chart: quote.yahoo.com
