GST: You forget that the new economy is generating virtually unprecidented real economic growth. As long as that fact remains in force (as all indicators suggest) and as long as the economy is managed properly (ala AG), the LT bull market can last for years, even decades longer.

Under this scenario, the "recent unpleasantness" will show up as just a teeny blip on the steady upward climb of a 10 or 50-year chart.
