Bryan, I have my computer set at 600x800 text size medium. When I shift the text size to smallest, the homepage nearly fits. Something like 3 pixels short. When I'm in medium text size, it's about 6 pixels short.

I'm using a 15 inch laptop monitor. *Very* rarely do I run across a site which doesn't fit my screen horizontally where I need a scolling bar.

Some DOE could be in order.

Michael

Re: SI's Subpoena Policy

Bryan, I'm sure you are aware of the lawsuit brought against Yahoo! for their policy of handing over personal information on members when subpoenad to do so without information members and allowing them the opportunity to block it. If not, check out Message 13746367 and the posts that follow (including the actual Complaint).

For a recap on what Ethan Caldwell of SI has been quoted as saying on this subject, see: Message 13749013

My question is simple: has SI established a more formalized policy on this and, if so, could you please cite it here?

Thanks.

- Jeff

Bryan,

There is no way for me, the little peon investor, to know what was said about Go2net at this meeting today and I'd sure love to know.

Black & Company Stock Conference
May 22-23, 2000
Portland, OR

May 23, 2000
10:00am PDT

The distance between what we as lay people can get and the broker is coming closer but still to far apart. One thing that might get us a bit closer is if Silicon Investor could provide immediate information from broker/company meetings like the one above.

Why could you not have live or delayed webcast from some of these meetings .......or if not a webcast perhaps an SI news story about some highlights...conference calls from what I have seen of them are not very revealing...very staged....perhaps a more open format like a meeting might make for some more juicy information....

Why does the "Splits Calendar" end at the end of a calendar month?

It would be better if it extended out a month, or thirty days, which ever comes first.

Raging Bull has reached 60,000 posts a day, up from 25,000 just 6 months ago. It looks like when SI Classic left so did most of SI's members. When are you guys going to admit you made a mistake?

Brian,
The old IQC charts had a link to report data "problems". The really were quite responsive. I wish there was such a link on the SI charts page.
For example, if I reported that CTRX ticker was now INSM they probably would have the charts merged within 24 hours.
I sure do miss that feature.

Bryan, Where are you hiding these days.....I miss the harmon thread......sure the harmon thread was not perfect but the concept was a great one....I think SI should have experts in different segments of the market who interact on threads on a day to day basis like harmon did with net stocks.......of all the things you have been doing none would equal the impact this might have on SI growth.
