Good point John. What I feel, based upon my understanding of msft's management team, is the key element right now: msft is picking up stakes or alliances in hot stocks right now at carnage prices. Cash rich companies, like msft, can take advantage of times like these. Illiquid companies can't obtain financing right now, due to high credit terms, shortage of secondary or ipo opportunities. At the end of the day, msft's management takes advantage of the situation! The benefits of these actions won't be known for months or years, but still msft comes out ahead. I believe msft has a free cash flow figure of $1 Billion per month. Please correct me if I'm wrong on the figure. advalorem
