<<But I'm sure the execs at G* know a lot more about telecom pricing than any of us.>>

Well, they certainly know more than I do, MTS. After having held this company for year after year with no return, I feel I've earned the right to gripe a little from time to time. Bottom-line, however, is that if I thought G* was truly a POS about to spontaneously combust, I would be out of the stock.

Best.

I don't know if you're saying that "tongue in cheek," but I'd disagree. If you'd ask them, I think their comment would be, "That's why we've partnered with the leading telecom companies in the world. They know their markets."

I exaggerate slightly in saying that I truly believe G* management doesn't have a clue about retail telecom pricing structure. After all, they're not even in that business. BLS admits to not knowing if the current pricing structures will work, but he follows that with affirmation that the "partners" are confident. If we choose to discuss pricing, Mauprice is right, we need to look at the SPs.

<<Wrong. We are still too early to slash prices. What if it turns out that demand is just huge (say a year from now), and we already slashed prices to 10 cents. Well it would be nearly impossible to jack those prices up again. this is the prudent course.

WRONG!! If you slash prices and fill the system you make more minutes by adding a few gateways and launching the next constellation! You also have millions of happy customers who will become dependent on the system. If the company continues down it's current path, it will walk the bankruptcy tightrope and make less money in the long run.

You make a grave mistake by assuming that management knows more about marketing than some of us. These people make sats. If they were so good we would have a lot more than 4,000 customers after 6 months of service.
