He does think that. He says that Elian's mom should have been arrested because she "stole" Elian from the cuban state. He considers, the *STATE* to have a legit claim of ownership on Elian.

"...do you mean that each parent has different ideological views?? so that we need to make a decision as to which parent should get the child??..." It is silly isn't it? The notion that children be removed from homes whose ideology differs from yours. I am glad that we are both in agreement. I am happy to hear that you too don't think that Elian should be removed from his father simply because the latter chooses to live in a communist country. Vince
