The Fed is exporting US inflation to other countries?

The Fed's rate increases are causing the US $ to soar v. other currencies. Import bills are rising in europe and japan.

The good news for gold is that a lot of money has come out of the equity market and some of that money may eventually find its way into hard assets, such as gold. The bad news is the relentless strength of the US Dollar.

Most of my friends and customers are Polyannas who have taken a blood bath over the last 2 months. They are presently sitting on a lot of cash and they are now open to investing in gold stocks; but they are waiting for the breakout before they will make the move. I keep on hearing from them when I suggest a classic hedge in Gold Stocks: "Gold is doing nothing."

It looks hopeless for Gold here. But isn't that the time to buy?
