Sheri Garber hasn't been right on Rambus yet.
Why buy her crap now?

Longs will be rewarded!

Joe,

<edit: I see that your message has already been responded to, but I'll leave the following post up as an FYI for anyone else reading the board.>

Semico expects DDR to make significant strides in the next year, moving from about 3.9 percent of the market in 2000 to about 17 percent in 2001. That far outpaces Rambus, estimated at 2.8 percent in 2000 and 2.5 percent in 2001.

They predict RDRAM marketshare reduction from 2000 to 2001. If this is true, and I believe it is, where would you invest your money?

We've already been through the battle of the research houses. Dataquest has projected >50% share for RDRAM versus Semico's forecast. Inquest or In-stat (I'm blanking on which one right now) is forecasting similar share, I believe. The question becomes which research house you want to believe. My personal belief is that Dataquest has the best handle on the situation (having working with them in general, though not with their semiconductor analysts). BTW, their analysts, Jim Handy and George Iwanyc, have written books on memory caching, hold patents, guest-write articles for the Kingston web site, etc.
