We are a nation of laws. If you throw that out you have nothing but bullshit left. Your bullshit, my bullshit, anarchy, dictatorship- I prefer laws, since that is all that stands between us and the irrational (and what a lot of irrational there is, as we can see from this thread).

And btw- taking a kid out on a boat with motor troubles through shark infested waters is probably child endangerment in most people's opinion. People who make decisions that are that risky are idiots, in my frame of reference. Unless you think death is better than Cuba. If that is your belief, and if it really is a belief- rather than something you can support rationally- then like religion one can't argue with it. Of course I don't agree. But you can't argue with religion.
